Administration of Second Dose of Covishield Vaccine Prior to Prescribed Time Interval (after 28 days but before 84 days) to persons intending to undertake international travel...
18 March 2022
The guidelines for international arrivals coming to India have been reviewed & formulated, taking a risk-based approach. The Government of India has amended the protocols for international travellers in the following manner. It has mandated that:
2% of passengers per flight will be randomly tested upon arrival at the airport. If they are found to be symptomatic or tested positive, they will be managed as per the standard protocol defined by the COVID-19 latest update.
* Some countries exempt Indian citizens who are fully vaccinated with nationally or WHO recognised vaccines. Travellers from such nations are allowed relaxation under the certificate of completing the full primary vaccination schedule of COVID-19 vaccination.
Kids under twelve years of age are exempted from both pre-departure and post-arrival random testing. However, if they reveal signs of coronavirus upon arrival or during the self-monitoring period, they will have to undergo testing. If the results are positive, the kids will be treated according to the laid down protocol.
Face CoveringsTravellers must wear face masks/ covers inside the terminal building, railway platform, and bus stations.
Hygiene The airports are adhering to an enhanced cleaning regime. Hand sanitisation stations are present throughout the terminals.
Check-inPassengers travelling via intercontinental or European flights are recommended to arrive three hours in advance.
SecurityThe standard security rules are the same as before. During the check, travellers are recommended to wear a face-covering, although they might be asked to remove it if selected for an additional search.
The Departure LoungeThe shops, restaurants, and lounges are open for travellers. Flyers are advised to make the payment via card wherever possible.
BoardingCheck the screens for information on the departure gate. Follow the guidelines mandated by the airline and wear a face mask if asked. Have a pleasant trip.
