Holi, also known as Rangwali Holi, Dhuleti, Dhulandi, or Phagwa is an Indian festival that is celebrated all over India as well as the Indian diaspora all over the world. Though traditionally a Hindu festival, Holi has now come to cross religious boundaries. Overseas Holi has even crossed cultural boundaries with many foreigners also roped in to the festivities by the local Indian population.
Holi is celebrated with great pomp and fervour in what is known as the Braj region, which essentially refers to the states and places usually associated with Lord Krishna of Hindu mythology. The region includes modern day Mathura, Vrindavan, Nandgaon, Uttar Pradesh, and Barsana. During the season of Holi, these places often become the centre of a lot of tourist movement as there is much to be seen there during the time of the Holi festival.
Delhi Airport wishes everyone a very safe, happy and colourful holi.
